I can't believe we're already in October! Halloween is fast approaching! This year my daughter is going to be a Spa Princess (found here) and my son is going as the Incredible Hulk (found it on clearance last year for $5 at Walmart).
Here are a few ideas for homemade inexpensive costumes I came across...

Get out and explore Polk County this weekend!

First Friday - Downtown Lakeland - Fri: 6pm

Pickin' In The Park - Downtown Winter Haven - Fri: 6:30pm-8pm

LWMC Breast Cancer Walk - Kiwanis Park in Lake Wales - Sat: 8am

Kids Workshop - Home Depot - Sat: 9am-12pm

Authors & Illustrators Festival - Downtown Lakeland - Sat: 9am-3pm

Cruisin' Winter Haven - Downtown Winter Haven - Sat: 4pm-9pm

Tae Kwon Do - Christ's Church in Lake Wales - Sun: 7pm-8pm

Head over to the Lakeland Mall today between 10am-2pm and stop by Great American Cookies in the food court. It's National Cookie Month and they're giving out a free original chocolate chip cookie to everyone!
And throughout the month of October bring in a gently used book (they will donate it to a local library or charity) and you'll get a free cookie of your choice!
